you're all i think about these days

It's so crazy when someone you know dies. Even if you weren't close, even if you were barely friends at all, it still breaks your heart.

I recently found out that someone I had been close to in the past has died and he is all I have been thinking about for days. We honestly had not said a word to each other in over 3 years and it would have probably remained that way. Our friendship ended kind of awkwardly and to be honest, I pretty much completely forgot about him until I heard the news that he passed away. It's sad when things go this way- that we don't ever think about or remember a person, that was so close to us at one point, until they die and are gone forever.

I want to encourage myself to revive lost friendships while I can, before it's too late, and remember all the special times I have had  with somebody because I want to, not because they are gone and that's all I can think about.

Mend the delicate fibers of a friendships while you still have the time and appreciate every second you have with someone close to your heart - that's what I've learned this week, I learned it the hard way.

Rest in peace Trevor, thinking of you <3

  1. i'm sorry to hear this. it breaks my heart as well, and i can sympathize unfortunately. i've experienced this tragic shock in my life a couple of times (one of my cousins to whom i barely spoke to was killed unfairly in an auto accident because his friend was racing--on my BIRTHDAY), and it always overhauls my perception of things, and makes me focus more energy into all of my relationships. i wish that there was some gesture i cold offer to encourage you. just know that you are doing exceedingly well by having a deeper awareness now. *internet hugs from a girl who has been there*
